Empire State Development is excited to provide you with the attached broadband outreach materials, which are high ConnectALL priorities announced by the Governor in the State of the State briefing book. Specifically, the attachments are designed to raise awareness of two key initiatives:

  1. Broadband Assessment Program – These materials aim to increase public participation in our state’s broadband mapping efforts. They include both a flyer that can be circulated directly to the public as well as an outreach kit that can be used by organizations and businesses. This survey will be a key tool in directing future funds and better understanding local broadband needs.
  2. Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) – These materials aim to increase participation in the federal ACP, which provides a permanent $30/month discount for home broadband or cellular service. A key initiative of ConnectALL is increasing participation in this program. While New York has been outpacing other states since launching ConnectALL we still have only about 30% of eligible New Yorkers enrolled in the program.
