INVITATION TO BID
TOWN OF STEPHENTOWN
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the TOWN OF STEPHENTOWN is seeking sealed bids
for the following project: the furnishing of all labor and material for the complete removal and
replacement of the existing roof on the Town Hall structure at 26 Grange Hall, Stephentown, NY
12168 per the accompanying specifications. This is a public work project and is subject to
General Municipal Law Art. 5-A.
Sealed bids will be received at Town Hall, 26 Grange Hall Road, Stephentown, NY
The bids will be publicly opened at 7:00 p.m. local time on July 20, 2020 at Town Hall,
26 Grange Hall Road, Stephentown, New York 12168. Sealed bids will be received at the same
location at any time before said opening.
The project shall be completed per the accompanying specifications.
Each sealed enclosure containing a bid is to be endorsed on the outside with the name,
address and telephone number of the bidder and is to state that it contains “Bid for Town Hall
Roof Removal and Replacement”.
Bid security in the form of a 5% bid bond issued by an acceptable surety or bank or
certified check payable to the Town of Stephentown is required.
The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a
labor/material payment bond issued by an acceptable sureties and to enter into a written contract
with the Town after the award. This is a prevailing wage job.
The Town of Stephentown reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any
irregularities in bidding and accept the bid that is best suited for the Town.

A Public Hearing was held on Monday, March 9th, 2020, at 7:00PM located at the Town Hall. The Town Board invites residents who could not attend this meeting to our Regular Board Meeting on Monday, March 16th, 2020 at 7:00pm for further discussion and information that was provided at this public hearing.
